Bridal Preview Information
Experience the luxurious ambiance of Jess' home studio situated in the tranquil village of Great Hale (NG34 9LF), with Jess's expertise and attention to detail, you're sure to feel pampered and confident as you approach your special day. It is recommended for your preview to take place 3-4 months prior to the wedding day. You will be sent a pdf with everything you need to know ahead of the preview and how to prepare. During your bridal preview you will be able to try a few different looks with a typial timeline for both hair and makeup taking between 2-4 hours. If additional time is required there will be a charge of £50 per hour (you will informed of this before any charges occur). Numerous photos will be taken throughout, including some captured by a professional-grade camera. These will then be forwarded to you, providing an excellent opportunity to review your appearance and discuss any adjustments you'd like to make. Please do mention if you would like to being someone with you out of curtisy due to the studio being in a home setting.

Wedding Day Information
Wedding mornings are an opportunity to unwind and create cherished memories. To ensure a seamless experience, a timetable is put together and agreed upon in advance. This way, everyone involved has a designated time slot and receives the attention they require. When there is a large booking size, early ceremony time or venue access restrictions, assistants are available to add onto bookings at an additional fee. If required I offer a stay on service, for any hair or makeup changes throughout the day. Please inquire for pricing. Please be assured that any products used on your wedding day have been tried and tested. Products that are especially longwearing formulas, smudge and water proof meaning they will last all day, even with lots of happy tears.

A little bit about me
How I got started
I would say that this journey first started when I was little, I had always been a girly girl and very interested in makeup and hair. I would cut up magazines with particular celebrities when I loved their makeup or hair looks or any pictures of products and I would stick them all in a scrapbook. I was the friend who did hair and makeup on my friends growing up. Fast forward a few years, I stayed on for 6th form college and studied Beauty Therapy gaining a level 2 & 3 NVQ and a level 2 VRQ in hairdressing. During my hairdressing course I assisted one of my tutors at weekends doing wedding hair. Through doing this I discovered my love for wedding hair and makeup. Since then 9 years have gone by and I have worked on way too many weddings to count! In the early years of my career I worked along side many talented wedding hair and makeup artists gaining valuable experience. I have mostly always had other jobs alongside doing this such as working in admin or a beauty salon, I would work 7 day weeks, which looking back I don't know how I did it. Since having my daughter in 2020 (not the best year to go fully self employed!) I am so unbelievably proud to be doing this full time and I haven't looked back since.

Having gotten married myself five years ago, I know full well the planning process is a really exciting time, as well as potentially quite stressful, which is where I come in! With my breadth of knowledge and experience I bring a sense of calm and organisation to your wedding morning, as well as a good natter. You will be in very safe and skilled hands. I love to create wedding morning timetables, meaning all of the wedding party will have designated timeslots for their hair or makeup and it keeps the morning running smoothly. I give all my brides a wedding day touch up kit, it includes things such as tissues, spare hair pins and face powder (for more details on these keep scrolling down the page!), overall it's one less thing for you to think about. I'm a Make Me Bridal Accessories ambassador and I carry a range of their accessories for you to try at your trials . My work style
I love working with my brides to create their bespoke ideal wedding day look. I would best describe my work style as polished, luxurious, modern bridal glam. I foresee 2024 to have lots of sleek polished buns and variations on hollywood waves.
A little more personal
I am a Mum to my beautiful three year old daughter (who has an amazing head of hair and more handbags than I do!), a wife to my lovely husband of 6 years and a dog Mummy to our 6 year old Romanian rescue pooch called Luna. We have recently relocated from Hampshire to Lincolnshire. It's been a big adjustment but the best decision. I'm definitely a creative at heart, I have many hobbies which include baking (especially birthday cake decorating), upcycling and making home décor, card making, crochet, to name a few. I have a lot of stuff, it used to drive my husband nuts, as not only do I have all my hair and makeup kit and all the stock up products but I also have a gel nail kit, waxing products, craft stuff. It takes up a lot of room but I finally have a home studio so somehwere to store it all! I have struggled with acne over the years and taking the positive from that is I understand how to create a flawless natural looking base, that feels lightweight and comfortable. Having combination/oily skin and oily eyelids I have tried and tested many products, especially for longevity and making sure I only use products I truly love. I have often had brides shocked at how light weight their makeup feels, while having the coverage where needed. Lastly I would just like to say that after 10 years I still love being able to call this my job and I especially love hearing all about the details you've put into your wedding day. Jess x
